Motorsport with an ‘X’ factor

A world-class motorsport event is set to return to HBF Stadium on Sunday the 18th of March 2018. 

The X Trial Australian Championship is a spectacular show for the whole family to enjoy, with incredible feats of gravity-defying skill by Australia’s best riders. Hear the gasps and feel the tension as they tackle the most incredible course ever built in Australia.

Back again at HBF Stadium Mount Claremont - ready to put on a better show than ever before!  The main event is inside the stadium arena that lends itself perfectly to this super-charged event. This is preceded by the FREE X Trial Pit Party, which is packed with heaps of interactive activities.



Family event

Neil Price, WA State Champion and organiser, said, “The X Trial Australian Championship is a fantastic family event that allows people of all ages to experience the most incredibly unique and skillful sport of Trials.”

“Trials is an extreme sport that is growing in popularity year by year,” said Neil.

“An event like this is an opportunity to bring the sport to an even broader audience. The Championship is about more than just the sport – it’s a terrific, inexpensive and entertaining day out for the whole family with something for everyone.”

While the bikes and the competition are the main focus, there will also be the Free ‘Pit Party’ where you can meet the riders and enjoy heaps of interactive entertainment for the whole family. 

“As a family man myself, I wanted to make this event about more than just the bikes, It really is a full day experience” added Neil. 

“We’ve considered the cost and because I know how expensive family days out can be, we’ve kept the price low and the value high.

2018 X Trial Australian Championship

The X Trial Australian Championship is an invite only affair, open only to the very best.  “Only the 6 best riders in the country qualify for X Trial, with 2 wild cards to round out the field.  That means you are seeing only the best riders in Australia!” said Neil Price.

Reigning 2017 Champion Kyle Middleton, will be defending his title and the current outdoor champion is on good form.  Middleton said,” I am riding well at the moment having put in a lot of work over the last few years and I really want the X Trial title again.  That said, the field will be stronger again this year so it wont be easy, last year it came down the very last race of the whole night.  You just don’t know how it will turn out on the night.”

Local State Champion Neil Price is looking forward to riding in 2018 after missing last years event due to Illness,” I wasn’t quite well enough last year and had to pull out at the last minute, which was really disappointing.”  Price had a great showing at the Outdoor Championships this year.  “I am feeling on form at the moment, X Trial is my style of event, and then add the home crowd support I should have a good chance at the title”.
